Technical structure

VivoCare® is client-server-based software. PostgreSQL is used as the database management system. The clients are developed in the Java programming language. The client installation package includes the necessary Java runtime environment, eliminating the need to maintain and service a separate Java installation on the client. All Microsoft Windows versions from (including) Windows XP and MacOSX are supported as operating systems. It is possible to connect health insurance card readers directly. BDT/GDT and HL7 are supported as interfaces to practice management systems and hospital information systems. It is also possible to operate VivoCare as a web service.
